Really? Can you? Make Money Doing Nothing – can I just answer this as Yes and No

The reason that you CAN make money doing nothing is because once a process or stratedgy has been set in motion – you can literally wake up the next day and make money doing nothing because you are still getting paid on whatever it is you are making money with.

The reason that you CAN NOT make money doing nothing is because there is always somebody working. Someone is out there doing the work at all times. For example if you are an investor and you invest in a company on the stock market – guess what? Someone is working at that company making it profitable which makes the investor profitable. If you earn money from a product you created – You did something!

So that is why I answered both Yes and No because – there is nothing for free. Someone is doing the work be it a system with a program that someone developed or the lowest employee at a company doing his job for peanuts while the big dogs are earning off of his efforts.

Make Sense?

So don’t get caught into these make money do nothing sort of programs because the reality is the reason that you are even seeing a site that says make money doing nothing is because someone promoted it – lol So someone is actually doing something. You must get to critical thinking when it comes to reasons why or why not to do something.

Now here is a question for you:

If you use Google to search the internet then you may find that your search results include “Sponsored Links” (on the right hand side of the search results page). If you click on any of the Sponsored links, the advertiser that placed the ad you clicked must pay Google for that click. If the advertiser is you, you are the one that pays. The price that you would pay depends on how much you have bid on the keywords used to generate the ad. This marketing tactic is called Google Adwords and you can make money online with it.

In addition to the ads being displayed with the search results, Google allows owners of websites and Blogs to display the same ads as contextual ads. Contextual refers to content that relates to the subject of your web page. This system is called Google Adsense and people make money online with it. Each time a visitor clicks on an ad Google pays the owner of the website for that click. If you have traffic going to your web site and you display the Google Adsense Ads on a page and someone clicks an ad, you make money.

Note that Google Adwords and Google Adsense compliment each other and are in fact, the inverse of each other.

Google Adwords Pay Per Click is a good way to get quick targeted traffic to your website. Because you are paying for an ad promoting your site or affiliate link, those that click your ad will be directed to your site. The efficiency of your ad (click through rate or CTR) will depend on the ad copy and the keywords. The keywords that you have in the ads that are searched for dictate when your ad is displayed. Google Adsense is a good way to make an “automatic” recurring income. Automatic assuming your ads are getting the clicks and generating the income you expect. Some tweaking of the ad placement, colors, etc. may be neccessary for optimization. When a Google Adsense ad on your site is clicked, both you and Google make a split percentage of the total of the bid price for the keyword that the ad was displayed and clicked for.

Another type of ad that is gaining in popularity is the Chitika eMiniMall. Chitika eMiniMalls are advertisements that display a picture and a description of the product, the best deals where the product can be purchased and a search feature. Both Yahoo and Microsoft are in beta right now with their own equivalent to Google Adsense. The Yahoo ad network is called Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN) and Microsoft’s network is called Adcenter. I have not tried these networks out yet, but I may find myself doing that if I find that ad clicks yield a higher amount or percentage to the web site publisher.

There are several other pay per click networks available to try as well. Some of these would be RevenuePilot, Bidclix, CBclicks, Adsclick and Bidvertiser. I am sure there are even more than this. If you are interested, search them out and see if they fit for your own website’s use.

So what is the average Yankee to do? Particularly those 15,000,000 jobless Americans?

I suggest that rather than simply lounging around bewailing the situation, or getting increasingly pissed off as they endure their fruitless job searches, many of these folks should form their own Internet firms .

When I invest in the stock market, one of the criteria I look for are corporations that have ‘big moats’ – meaning they have such a strong leadership position on their industry or market (through exclusive technology or other competitive advantage) that it is extremely hard for others to enter into that marketplace and contend with them.

The internet isn’t like that – it has practically no ‘moat,’ meaning there are few obstacles to entry.

Nearly any one with a computer and access to the web can build their own Internet enterprises as the Internet offers a level playing field (i.e, even the tiniest business can compete against the very largest corporations ). This is true regardless of whether you are a young person just out of college ( or never even went to college ) to the Boomers and Seniors who are either evaluating retirement, or have already retired.

‘Acquired knowledge’ appears to be about the only legitimate moat that exists with respect to starting an internet company. The best reason to have a moat that is made primarily of knowledge – is that any one can readily cross that moat – just by being motivated enough to obtain the knowledge of the marketplace.

Affiliate programs are probably the simplest paths to launch a web firm, and a lot of them also include training referring to the product that you’ll be selling for them.

The problem with many online opportunities is that their training is limited, and often focused only on educating you regarding their product ( s ). Sadly, you’ll need more data than that.

In this case it is referring to gaining money, saying that if you can make your mind believe that you are rich and start to think as if you already are rich, that the money will follow. It’s quite a concept to think about, although, this is not really how the world works, but we’ll get to that.

This book is much like many others under the same heading (i.e. The Science of Getting Rich, Ask and it is Given, and The Traveler’s Gift). They are all based on the law of attraction, which says once you desire something, and then make yourself believe you have it and have your whole person believe you should have it and will have it, it will come to you. You can make money online!

You may have heard of the movie, ‘The Secret’. It too has this premise. It’s a great thought, but it’s not realistic. How many people in the world are barely scraping by or are hungry or homeless that believe they deserve better? I’m sure they all do, but just because they think they deserve more than they have is not putting a roof over their head or food in their stomach.

The only way to fill your bank account and have more money than you know what to do with is to work, work hard, and earn it. No one is going to hand it to you. You have to get it for yourself.

What is most frustrating about the book is that it makes it seem that as soon as you put some brain power into believing that you deserve riches, that they will just come pouring in and what’s all you have to do. Sure you can use energy to get money, but not in this way.

The way it actually works is instead of daydreaming that you have a wad of cash in your hand, you put that energy into making and running a business or getting the education you need to be able to create and run a business. While MLM’s will disagree and say you can just think about it, the only way your brainpower is going to make you successful is if you use it to build and nurture yourself in the business world.

In that respect, the use of energy can work. If one were to use the energy in their brain as a motivator, as the energy to get moving and get to work in an attempt to be successful in the world. Using your energy as strength to drive you to success can work. Once you get up from just thinking about it, and work towards a successful future, you may see that success come to life and make money online!
