Notice how you are seeing businesses everywhere offering short-codes and keywords to opt-in to their business? If you haven't noticed that then start opening your eyes. Its been happening for some time now but here is why you may want to consider this make money online idea of Text Message Marketing:

- People who subscribe to your SMS Marketing program do so because they like your product.
- These subscribers are asking you to provide them with your promotions. They want you to give them reasons for buying your product.
- Offers that are sent to your SMS Marketing program subscribers are delivered in a timely fashion. No more receiving email coupons that have expired.
I have even heard open rates as high as 90%. So because this is already happening and not a new thing makes it seem like you can't make any money with it right? Well not so fast. There are lots of midsized communities that need this type of service but basically will end up shopping with someone online because they would know of anyone locally that would do something like this.
My recommendation then is to do the research and come up with your own local text message marketing company for your community. You can actually make a living at this if you get the word out - talk with businesses every single day and do the Press releases and the advertising.
You may want to set up a Facebook ad campaign and just target the city with it - it's got all sorts of possibilities and it's something that the businesses in your community just might thank you for.
