The second half of the first decade in this new century has seen the rise of an internet phenomenon called blogging. Blogging has virtually taken over the internet with hundreds of millions of blogs ranging from personal ones to corporate ones.
What blogs provide that many websites have fail at, is the ability to create a unique interaction with it’s readers. Websites sometimes feel cold, distant and generalized, but reading a blog post is much more warm and personal.
Often it gives some great insight into the thinking’s and feelings of the person writing the entry. In a business only perspective this can be crucial, it can allow the company to truly connect with possible and current customers in a way in which a website is very limited to do.
Of course the question of make money online arises, as with everything in life. Can you make money from your blog? Yes, you can but it won’t come easily. A blog isn’t something you can make and then 3 days later be turning out a profit unless you are really good. However please don’t let this discourage you from starting a blog because over time you certainly can make money online with it which is a very cool feeling.
I have heard it said that a new blog is created every second however many of these are created by individuals thinking that they can earn some quick money with it, but in reality these people don’t know how much time and commitment it will take in order to properly optimize their blogs so they can be found.
How to make money online from a blog is not just as simple as posting your views, rants and commenting about issues, it will take more then that. Your blog needs to be properly optimized for search engines (SEO Search Engine Optimization) so that it reaches the audiences that you intend it to, it also has to be marketed correctly. Your blog itself has to be designed so that it is appealing enough to general internet users as have features such as an RSS feed.
After your blog has been properly optimized you can think about generating some income. This should not put you off however because a blog should contain something you enjoy writing about and then once you have a stable level of traffic, you can begin to make money online.
