Change your default search provider and get paid

Having spent a long time trying to make money on the Internet I have realized that it is not easy. Recently I’ve found a website called Homepages Friends (http://www.myhpf.co.uk/apply001.asp?Friend=306668) which pays you every time you search the Internet. You can either set it to be your homepage or (as I do) use it as your default search provider. What happens is that you still use the search box on your browser’s toolbar but it then searches using the HPF site (which actually uses Yahoo as it’s search so you still get good results).

You’re paid for every search you do – the website splits the advertising revenue 50/50 with you and so far I’ve had about 2p per search. Not a lot you might think but this is something which, once it’s set up, is a part of everyday Internet use and the money quickly accumulates. You probably don’t realize how many times you actually use the search bar – believe me, it all adds up.

It can be easily set up and doesn’t require any attention at all – as long as you use the Internet then you’ll be paid. I’ve found that this is an easy way to make money online – you won’t make loads of money overnight but then, it doesn’t require any effort at all!

Say you make 20 searches a day (that’s been my average) and they give you 2p per search. That’s 40p a day – £2.80 a week – £146 in a year. Not bad as a wee bit extra cash.
